jewelry stand #10 - walnut, zebrawood & brass

140.00

I'm not sure why I started building jewelry stands, but once I started I had a hard time stopping. There's something compelling about their simplicity and the interplay of materials -- the bright, luminous brass contrasting with deep, dark wood. In any case, I've made quite a few and no two are alike.

This piece has a walnut base with extraordinary figure and chatoyance. A zebrawood bowtie dutchman is inlayed across a natural split in the base. A beautifully figured walnut post is joined to the base with a mortise and tenon. This piece is made of some of the most beautiful walnut I've ever seen. Two notched brass rods are available to hang bracelets and necklaces. A hexagonal brass ring holder is inset on the other end of the stand.

dimensions: base - 4" x 6"  height - 8"
